Winners are selected from submissions to the refereed session by the Refereed Papers Committee. Each member of the committee assigns a score based on originality and innovation, contribution to knowledge, scientific quality, completeness, and quality of writing. Overall, the committee expects the selected papers to be ready for publication in well-established and reputable journals in the field.
-
Winners are selected by the Refereed Papers Committee with inputs from the session chairs from among the discussants of papers presented in the refereed sessions. Each member of the committee assigns scores considering whether comments are (a) relevant and important (b) well-structured (c) objective with helpful guidance for improvement.
-
To the ERES conference, the full paper (in pdf. format, not exceeding 6,000-8,000 words) or abstracts (not exceeding 450 words) can be submitted via the ERES system. The full papers that are not desk rejected by the Refereed Papers Committee are presented in the refereed sessions (with discussant). Abstracts may be submitted for non-referred sessions (without discussant).
-
In refereed sessions, typically presenters have about 20 minutes and discussants 10 minutes at their disposal. In non-refereed sessions, each presenter has 15 minutes. 5 minutes are allocated for Q&A for each presentation.
Discussants are responsible for commenting on papers to provide professional and constructive criticism and raise issues for broader consideration that connect to the papers.
-
All papers and abstracts submitted to the ERES system and accepted for presentation after the conference will be published in the ERES Digital Library, unless their authors report otherwise by the first day of the conference.
