The venue for the 23rd Annual Conference is the Vielberth Building at the
IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School at the University of Regensburg.
The IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School is part of the University of Regensburg – the first public university in Germany to offer completely interdisciplinary teaching and research in the field of real estate. Its faculty compromises ten chairs and professorships in law, economics and business administration, covering all industry-specific features of real estate and real estate companies. The IRE|BS faculty regards its scientific work as a platform for theory-based and application-oriented teaching and research. Furthermore IRE|BS also offers executive education in the Rhein-Main area (Eltville), Berlin, Munich and Essen. With its broad range of educational programs in Real Estate, IRE|BS is one of the largest institutes in Europe.
The University of Regensburg, which was founded in 1962 as the fourth Bavarian regional university, is a modern campus university at the southern edge of the Old Town of Regensburg. Originally designed as a regional university, the University of Regensburg has developed into a renowned international centre of teaching and research over the last decades. Its attractive features include a broad spectrum of disciplines, a favourable student-teacher ratio and an excellent infrastructure. There are currently 20,273 students enrolled at the University of Regensburg.
Besides teaching, the University of Regensburg is also very actively involved in research, as demonstrated by six special research areas supported by the German Research Society (DFG), DFG Research Units, graduate schools, and its participation in research initiatives and EU projects. Close ties within, as well as between, the areas of research – university and non-university – are common. The university is well set up for dialogue between science and industry with FUTURE, an interdisciplinary service facility for knowledge and technology transfer.
