Getting to Stockholm is straightforward, with several options depending on your location.
To Stockholm by Air
Stockholm Arlanda airport
Stockholm-Arlanda Airport is located 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Stockholm City. It is the largest airport, and is a juncture between Stockholm and other Swedish cities as well as the rest of the world.
For more information: www.swedavia.com/arlanda
Transport from Arlanda airport to Stockholm
The Arlanda Express (https://www.arlandaexpress.com) train provides a shuttle service between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Stockholm Central Station. The platform is easily accessible underneath the arrival terminals. The trains depart every 10 minutes in rush hour traffic and every 15 minutes at other times. Travel time: 18 minutes. All trains offer free wifi. We recommend using it.
Flygbussarna Airport Coaches (http://www.flygbussarna.se) depart every 15–30 minutes between Arlanda Airport and the City Terminal (located next to the Central Station). Travel time from Arlanda: 35–45 minutes. Buses also run to Liljeholmen via Karolinska, Fridhemsplan, and Södermalm (50 min) and to Brommaplan via Kista and Sundbyberg. (54 min). All buses offer free wifi.
Commuter trains (operated by the public transport company in Stockholm, SL, http://sl.se/en) to Stockholm depart twice an hour from Arlanda Central Station in Sky City. The total travel time between the airport and Stockholm Central Station is 43 minutes.
There are also several companies operating buses from Arlanda, for example, Flixbus (https://www.flixbus.se/bussresor/stockholm-stockholms-flygplats) and Nettbus (https://www.nettbuss.se).
Bromma Stokholm airport
If you are traveling from our Nordic neighboring countries, you may arrive at Bromma Stockholm Airport.

To Stockholm by train
Stockholm Central Station is the city’s main transportation hub. If you are arriving by train or taking the Arlanda Express from Arlanda Airport, this is likely your final stop. The station is centrally located and also connects directly to the T-Centralen metro station.
In the main hall, Tour & Tickets sells tickets for the MTRX train, and you can purchase public transport tickets at the SL Center, located on the lower ground floor. The station also offers several restaurants, shops, and lockers for storing your bags.
Stockholm Central Station is connected to Cityterminalen, the main hub for regional and international buses. Airport coaches, such as Flygbussarna, also stop here.
