The European Real Estate Society welcomes participants to the 39th Industry Seminar, which will be held on October 10, 2025, in Prague, Czech Republic.

The seminar will examine how shifting macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory conditions are shaping real estate investment strategies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as across Central and Eastern Europe. After a period of steep increases, interest rates are now gradually declining, yet lingering inflation, volatile capital markets, and tightening financing conditions continue to challenge developers, investors, and asset managers. Global pressures – including supply chain disruptions, new trade tariffs, and the ongoing war in Ukraine – are further influencing investment flows and reshaping demand across asset classes.
At the same time, EU climate targets and new regulatory frameworks are accelerating the transition toward more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings. Demand is growing not only for greener and more resilient real estate but also for sustainable workplaces that improve employee well-being, flexibility, and productivity. New trends such as smart building technologies, green certifications, digital monitoring of energy performance and circular economy principles are increasingly shaping investment decisions and tenant expectations.
The seminar will explore which investment models and strategies are proving most effective in aligning institutional capital with financial performance, while at the same time supporting the delivery of sustainable buildings, innovative workspaces, and future-proof infrastructure across the region.
